§242.

§243. ⇒

英語原文

On the other hand, a few other cases in the Attic poets are mere anomalies, even if we admit that the text is sound. E.g.

Τεὰν, Ζεῦ, δύνασιν τίς ἀνδρῶν ὑπερβασία κατάσχοι ; what transgression of man can check thy power ? Soph. Ant. 605. Ἀλλ᾿ ὑπέρτολμον ἀνδρὸς φρόνημα τίς λέγοι ; Aesch. Cho. 594. Πῶς οὖν τάδ᾿, ὡς εἴποι τις, ἐξημάρτανες ; i.e. as one might say. (?) Eur. Andr. 929. Θᾶσσον ἢ λέγοι τις πώλους ἐστήσαμεν. Id. Hipp. 1186. Ὥσπερ εἴποι τις τόπος, as one would say τόπος. (?) Ar. Av. 180.

The cases cited from Attic prose are now generally admitted to be corrupt. See Krüger, ii. 54, 3, Anm. 8.
