§316.

§317. ⇒

英語原文

Finally, the Attic Greek took the last step in developing the final clause, by using the past tenses of the indicative with ἵνα, ὡς and ὅπως to express a purpose which failed of attainment because of the failure of the action of the leading sentence ; as τί μ᾿ οὐκ ἔκτεινας, ὡς μήποτε τοῦτ᾿ ἔδειξα ; why did you not kill me, that I might never have shown this ? (See 333.)
