§322.
英語原文
The use of the optative for the subjunctive in final clauses after primary tenses is, on the other hand, very rare, and is to be viewed as mere irregularity of construction. See ἄξω τῆλ᾿ Ἰθάκης, ἵνα μοι βίοτον πολὺν ἄλφοι, Od. xvii. 250 ; ὅππως μαχέοιντο, Il. i. 344 ; and vii. 340, xviii. 88. So Soph. El. 56, O.C. 11 ; Hdt. ii. 93 (ἵνα μὴ ἁμάρτοιεν). Most of these are emended by various editions ; and no good reason for the anomaly appears in any of them.
