In like manner, where the construction allows both the indicative and the optative, the indicative follows primary, and the optative follows secondary tenses. E.g.
Λέγουσιν ὅτι τοῦτο βούλονται, they say that they wish for this ; ἔλεξαν ὅτι τοῦτο βούλοιντο, they said thay they wished for this.
